Annual Confirmation of Beneficial Ownership Details: Deadline 31 December 2026
The annual confirmation period for information held in Cyprus’ Beneficial Ownership Register for 2026 is now open. Entities subject to this obligation must complete the process by 31 December 2026.
Annual confirmation is required even where no changes have occurred. Relevant entities should review their registered information to ensure it is accurate and up to date before confirming it electronically.
Completing the annual confirmation
The process is carried out electronically through the Beneficial Ownership Register, using CyLogin.
Before submitting the annual confirmation, entities should review their records and submit any necessary corrections or updates. Once these have been completed, they can proceed with confirming the registered information.
Penalties for missing the deadline
Failure to complete the annual confirmation by 31 December 2026 will result in a financial penalty of:
- €100 for the first day of non-compliance;
- €50 for each subsequent day of continued non-compliance;
- A maximum total penalty of €5,000.
Completing the process well ahead of the deadline allows time to address any necessary corrections and helps avoid last-minute delays.
